Service Day Registration

ServiceDay

REGISTRATION IS REQUIRED FOR ALL STUDENTS BY FRIDAY, AUGUST 30

SERVICE DAY—our annual all-school day of service is a remarkable and inspiring experience. On this day, over 600 students, staff, and parent volunteers will gather to help others.  It is the perfect way to live out our Root Belief: We are the hands of Christ. We ask all students to participate in this Friday, October 4, event; attendance for all full-time students is required. We will dismiss for the day at 1:30pm (1:20pm for Preschool).

REGISTRATIONFamilies are required to complete an individual online registration for each child by Friday, August 30. The online registration authorizes your permission for the day (just like a field trip) and also provides an opportunity for chaperone registration. If you have more than one child at St. Barnabas, you will need to complete a separate online registration form for each child. If you are planning to chaperone, please only register to do so for one child in your family. The cost of the day, $12 per student, will be added to the incidental expenses of your tuition statement.

  • Preschool-Grade 3 students will stay on campus and participate in the same service opportunities as the rest of their grade. A note for preschool families whose children don't typically attend school on full days or Fridays: Service Day is a wonderful experience, and if you wish for your child to attend, please register them. We would love for them to join us!
  • Grade 4 - 8 students will select a service project from a list of various off-campus opportunities. Each site has limited spots available, and registration is first come/first served. Due to bus/site capacity, we cannot add more registrations to a site that has reached capacity.

LUNCH REQUIREMENTS FOR ALL—This year, we have extended the dismissal time to 1:30pm. This allows for more time to embrace and enjoy the day but also leads to lunchtime for all. Hot lunch is not available on this day; every student (and chaperone) should bring a lunch and water from home. We recommend Grades 4 - 8, who will be traveling off-campus, use a disposable lunch container/brown bag.
