WHO IS PARKER
In 2015, a young student named Parker Baudo entered St. Barnabas Kindergarten. Parker’s outgoing personality, determination, and sense of humor immediately captured the hearts of our entire school. He also opened our eyes to the power of inclusive education. The impact Parker had on the Class of 2024 and the entire community cannot be understated. He brings out the best in everyone he encounters!
PARKER’S PARTY STORY
Parker's Party is now approaching year 9 of plunging and partying for Parker to celebrate and honor everything that makes him extraordinary. Parker is now a freshman at Brother Rice, doing incredible things, making friends with everyone he meets, and loving it.
On Sunday, March 2, 2025 team Parker’s Party will participate in Polar Plunge Chicago for Special Olympics Illinois presented by Special Children's Charities, one of the city's most popular winter fundraising events. We are excited to take on the challenge and jump into Lake Michigan's chilly waters to support thousands of individuals with intellectual disabilities. Through your donations, people with intellectual disabilities can discover new strengths, abilities, and accomplishments. Help us meet our goal of raising $20,000 in 2025!
JOIN THE PLUNGE!
Join our team and take the plunge with us at North Avenue Beach on March 2, 2025. All registered plungers will gather together as a team and travel by school bus. Our scheduled plunge time at 11:15am. The minimum fundraising suggested amount is $200 for adults and $100 for students (student register as a "high school" plunger when signing up). DRESS DOWN ON MONDAY, MARCH 3 - all students are welcome to participate in a $3 Charitable Dress Down to support Parker's Party benefitting Polar Plunge Chicago for Special Olympics Illinois presented by Special Children's Charities. Students may wear their newly purchased Parker's Party Gear, previous years PP gear or any school-appropriate brightly colored apparel (including jeans, hoodies, and athletic wear).
