In February, we celebrate Black History Month! We invite you to join together to celebrate, honor, and cherish this meaningful month.
ALL SCHOOL MASS - Tuesday, February 4 at 8:45am
Join us in the Church for our weekly school mass as we honor black history and culture and the impact on our Catholic faith.
SPIRIT WEAR - Orders are due by Sunday, February 16
Our Culture Club is selling t-shirts and hoodies! Proceeds will benefit the Culture Club and United Negro College Fund (UNCF). Order by Sunday, February 16, and items will be sent home with the students during the week of February 24th. When placing your order, if you have multiple children in your family, please specify which child you would like the items sent home with. ORDER APPAREL
$3 CHARITABLE DRESS DOWN - Friday, February 28
All students are welcome to participate in a $3 Charitable Dress Down to support the Culture Club's Black History Month fundraiser benefitting United Negro College Fund. Students may wear their newly purchased BHM Spirit Wear shirts or hoodies or any school-appropriate apparel (including jeans, hoodies, and athletic wear) in black, red, green, or yellow. Donate online via credit card payment or bring $3 cash to school by Friday, February 28 (exact change only, please). CONTRIBUTE $3 ONLINE
CALL FOR PERFORMERS
Grade 1 - 8 students who are interested in participating in a dance performance for the February 28 Black History Month assembly should contact Sr. Schell at [email protected]. Practices will be parent-led and held after school during the month of February (Grade 1 will practice on Mondays after school and Grades 2 - 8 on Fridays after school)!
BLACK HISTORY MONTH ASSEMBLY - Friday, February 28
We will close out the month with our Black History Student Assembly, led by the school Culture Club. Due to the limited seating capacity in the school gym, we limit attendees. If your child is performing in the assembly, you are welcome to attend. Please sign in at the Gym lobby before the 1:45pm assembly.
